Individual Therapy
As a therapist I work from a humanistic, client-centred approach. Therapy is however not limited to the singular framework as it is guided by needs, personality, and functional ability of the person. Therapy is a two way process between myself and the client where I journey with the client through their distress, challenging situations, despair in life as a result of their experiences and broader difficulties they may be facing. This process involves exploration and reflection of emotions, thoughts, learned behaviour patterns that affect the client in the here and now in order to bring about change that is better, positive, and with long term rewarding effects to the life of the client. The relationship between therapist and client thus allows for a space in which the client can achieve their goals; give meaning to their situations and have a better understanding of who they are and or whom they in turn would like to become in living a fulfilling life.
